Flamingo Drive

Chris Hilgert's Yeti Sports goes golfing, and the club is a flamingo. The penguin is the ball, and every shot is two clicks -- the first sets the arc, the second the power -- after which there is nothing to do but watch it fly, bounce and roll out over an African plain, past giraffes, elephants and thorn trees, with Kilimanjaro on the horizon. You get five strokes and every metre counts, so the game is really about the second and third shot: how much of the roll you can keep, and which way the ground throws it. A snake can stop a good drive dead, and the wildlife is exactly where you wanted to land.

It is the fifth game in the series, from 2004, and the one that took the series' throw-and-see idea and gave it a scoreboard of strokes rather than a single attempt.
