A colour-matching chain puzzle under a timer. Flash Bombs is FreeOnlineGames' 2008 puzzler, and its own title card states the rule: 'Click on a bomb to create a chain of explosions of the same colour to score bonus points. Mind your time!' The board is a loose cluster of numbered bombs inside a bright green ring, and a click sets off a chain of one colour and pitches the rest together.\n\nThe counters are all the game needs: a MAX COMBO along the top, a clock beside it, and a score the movie keeps for the publisher's nickname table. The movie's own code names the rest -- combo, curTime and maxTime, a spawnTimer and a deadTimer -- so a chain that clears scores, and one that stalls wastes the clock. The title card carries a CLICK HERE TO PLAY and a View High Scores button, and past the play button the instruction panel fades away and leaves the board ready. It is a small, quick browser puzzle of its year, and the tree's copy is byte-identical to the copy the Flashpoint Archive kept.
