Glass Works

A tiling puzzle with a conveyor belt and a clock. Glass Works is FreeOnlineGames' 2008 puzzler, and its own How to Play screen states the whole game: 'Fill the grid area with pieces of glass, leaving no unfilled spaces. Glass pieces come into play from the conveyor belt, near the bottom of the play area. The larger the piece you place, the more points you get.' A piece is picked up with a click and dropped with a second click, the spacebar rotates it, and an unwanted piece goes in the bin at the cost of fifty points.\n\nThe board is the game, and its frame carries the rest: a marble play area ringed by brickwork, a Score, a four-minute Time counting down, a row of special items (a hammer, the bin and a clock), and a level label -- LEVEL 1, FLORAL, one of the named boards the movie's own code loads. Over the top sits a menu -- new game, load game, highscores, and the publisher's free-games-for-your-website link -- and a finished game offers the FreeOnlineGames nickname-and-score table, which the movie posts to like the rest of the publisher's catalogue.
