Mini Pool 3
A pool table seen from above, a rack of numbered balls and a cue ball you steer with the mouse. Mini Pool 3 is FreeOnlineGames' 2008 billiards game, and the rules are the ones the table has always had: move the mouse to line the cue up, choose how hard to strike, and send the cue ball into the pack. What changes is the scoring -- every ball on this felt carries its own price, so the tens and the higher-value balls are worth chasing rather than taking on any shot, and the board beside the table keeps a running best.
Sink a ball and the game lets you keep going; miss, and the table is handed back to you where it lies. Clear what you can for the best score, watch the aim bar fill as you pull the cue back, and reach for the small menu when a shot goes wrong. FreeOnlineGames built it as the third of its Mini Pool tables, and it is the sort of brisk, unfussy browser pool that used to fill a lunch break.
