Sundown Shootout
A desert-town Western shooter with a shop behind it. Sundown Shootout is FreeOnlineGames' 2009 gunslinger, and its menu is the whole shape of the game: a PLAY at the bottom left beside HOW TO PLAY, HIGH SCORE and the publisher's own free-games-for-your-website link, over a hand-drawn town of timber and sand. Play opens on a name card -- 'Please enter your name' -- and the run that follows is built from enemies, guns and money.
The movie's own code names the machinery: createEnemy and createEnemyInterval to build the crowd, DidEnemyhit and an enemy1 through enemy19 roster, a CURRENT_LEVEL, endLevel, and a shop whose btn_gunOne through btn_gunFive are the five weapons the player can buy and carry. The guns have names and stats in their own descriptions -- an Anaconda, 'the most basic gun we have for beginners', at Power 2 and weight 0.91, up to a 700P 'only for highest ranking cowboys' at Power 10 -- and a playerInventory, a PlayerMoney and an entrance fee gate each level. Cowboy Hat and Cowboy Boots are required kit before the level 5 duels, and a scoreboard and player-name panel sit behind the whole thing. The archive's copy of the game is byte-identical to the one Flashpoint kept.
